Stars including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Gabrielle Union, John Legend, Kim Kardashian West, Billy Eichner, Kumail Nanjiani and Padma Lakshmi took to social media on Tuesday evening to encourage those in line to vote to stay in line, as early numbers and projections started to trickle in.
Though poll closing times and rules vary by state, many close at 8 p.m. local time, and voters in several states are still allowed to cast their ballots as long as they are in line at closing time.
The final call comes as the race between Joe Biden and Donald Trump gets increasingly close as election results start to come in.
