Star Wars actor John Boyega has made an emotional speech during protests over the death of George Floyd. The 28-year-old joined demonstrators at London's Hyde Park who had gathered for a Black Lives Matter protest.
He told them that he was 'speaking from his heart' as he addressed the protesters in speech in which the British actor also referenced two other black Americans, Sandra Bland and Trayvon Martin, who died in the US.
Sandra was found dead in her cell in July 2015 just days after her arrest for a minor traffic offence and Trayvon, a 17-year-old high school student was shot dead in Florida in 2012.
He also mentioned the unsolved racist murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence in south London in 1993, who was stabbed to death.
