‘Star Trek: Prodigy’ Sets Season 1 Release Date On Netflix
deadline.comMerry Christmas to all. Netflix announced it will release all 20 episodes of Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1 on Christmas Day, December 25, 2023.
The streamer made the announcement during its annual Geeked Week. It was announced last month that Netflix had picked up the animated series for the U.S.
and most international territories in a deal with CBS Studios. The move came after Paramount+ announced in June that it would be removing a number of originals, including Star Trek: Prodigy, from the platform in a cost-cutting content write-down and not to proceed with the previously commissioned second season of the animated show.
The second season now will debut on Netflix in 2024. Star Trek: Prodigy follows a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search of a better future.
