Stacey Chanelle Claire Solomon (born 4 October 1989) is an English singer and media personality. In 2009, she finished in third place on the sixth series of The X Factor, and gained a number one single on the UK Singles Chart when her fellow The X Factor finalists released a cover of "You Are Not Alone". Solomon won the tenth series of I'm a Celebrity...
Get Me Out of Here!. Her debut single, a cover of "Driving Home for Christmas", was released on 19 December 2011. Solomon then released her debut album Shy on 18 April 2015. In September 2016, she began appearing as a panellist on Loose Women and in November of the same year she presented the I'm a Celebrity spin-off series I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp.
Like any frazzled mum, Stacey Solomon has her hands full, juggling a successful career with five kids and a hubby. But now Stacey, 34, has told pals she’s ready to get away from it all to enjoy some much-needed downtime away from her family obligations.
According to our source, the Sort Your Life Out host, who recently unveiled her ninth Primark range, has pledged to spend the summer in sunnier climes with her girlfriends, while also instructing husband Joe Swash that she wants more evenings and weekends free. “At the start of the year, Stacey declared 2024 as her f**k it year and while she’s said that mainly involved saying yes to things in her career, she’s also making sure she sticks to that motto in her personal life,” our source claimed. “So this summer she is planning a girly trip away to somewhere hot where they can all just relax and have fun.” The source said that while Stacey has always been conscientious about being seen as a hands-on mum and wife, the reality is, she needs a break just like anyone else does. “She was always so worried about being judged for leaving her family, but she’s realised that she needs a break at times and wants to spend time with her girlfriends,” the source continued. “Now she doesn’t care what people think, she is planning some time away from the kids and Joe to have fun with her friends.
She also wants more nights out and weekends away as she’s still only young and sometimes feels like she’s old beyond her years.” It’s little wonder Stacey, who has been working practically non-stop since she was discovered on The X Factor 15 years ago, feels like she needs some “me time”.
