dailyrecord.co.ukStacey Solomon’s BBC Sort Your Life Out co-star has been diagnosed with cancer.Fan favourite Dilly Carter told fans on social media yesterday after they noticed she was missing from a recent episode and replaced with Stacey’s good pal, cleanfluencer Sophie Hinchcliffe.
Dilly, 41, who is a show regular, took to Instagram to tell followers that the reason she was not on screen was that she was undergoing major surgery at the time of filming last October.The Mirror reports that the star was diagnosed with womb cancer last year and underwent surgery and radiation therapy.
And in a now-deleted Instagram post, Dilly said: “I haven’t seen any episodes yet so I can’t wait to watch this one, Although it’s bittersweet for me and reminds me of how poorly I was and how much pain I was in when this episode was filmed.”She added: “I had just come out of the hospital following major surgery to remove the cancer and my entire reproductive system.
I obviously could not film, so I was so grateful someone could step in. But I was also so sad to miss it! I can’t believe how far I’ve come since December.
