Stacey Solomon felt she couldn’t love her child after postnatal depression struggle

Stacey Solomon has never been one to shy away from the awkward issues and has for the first time shared her secret mental health struggle in a recent interview.

The Loose Women presenter spoke about her battle with postnatal depression when she became a mum for the first time at the age of 18 on the Mad World Podcast.

Some estimates hold that the illness, also known as PND affects as many as 18,000 mothers in Ireland each year. In Stacey’s case, she remembers feeling as if she “would never love my child” which left her wracked with guilt.
