St Mirren travel to Northern Ireland for first pre-season game

St Mirren take on Crusaders in the Paisley club’s first pre-season friendly as the players travel to Northern Ireland in preparation for Premier Sports Cup games.The Buddies are set to take on the Northern Irish Premiership club in a pre-season match on Tuesday evening.Stephen Robinson’s men will take on the Seaview side to blow off the cobwebs of the close season as they look to get match fit for the league cup games in early July.Don't miss the latest headlines from around Renfrewshire.

Sign up to our newsletters here.The game is a testimonial match for long-time Crusaders servant Paul Heatley, who has been at the club for ten seasons after joining the club in 2012 from Carrick Rangers.However, Robinson will look to use this match to see some of his new signings in action and get the team prepared for the opening Premier Cup game against Arbroath at the SMiSA Stadium on July 9.Buddies fans can attend the game over in Northern Ireland, with tickets on sale through the Crusaders website.Many Saints fans will be excited to see what Robinson’s first summer in charge has produced so far.The match is scheduled to kick off at 6.30pm on Tuesday.Download the FREE Renfrewshire Live app now for all the latest news, features and sport in your area.
