St Mirren have confirmed the loan signing of former Celtic, Hearts and Motherwell striker Tony Watt.The nomadic forward, who has also enjoyed spells in England, Wales, Bulgaria and Belgium throughout his career, joined Dundee United last January after a prolific stint at Fir Park.After falling out of favour at Tannadice this season, the experienced 29-year-old has been on the hunt for a new club this month.And the lure of working with Stephen Robinson again as the Saints push for a top six spot and European football saw the Scotland international pick Paisley ahead of a return to Motherwell or a switch to Belgium outfit KV Oostende.It's understood that the deal includes an option for St Mirren to buy the forward in the summer, should he impress during his initial spell at the SMiSA Stadium.Watt revealed he can't wait to get started in Paisley and predicts a seamless move having worked with Robinson and several Saints players at Motherwell already.He told stmirren.com: "I'm buzzing.
I'm delighted to be here and now it's time to get to work. I know the manager and I've played with a lot of the boys so hopefully it'll be a seamless transition."I want to win games and adapt to the team.
