Callum Davidson reckons St Johnstone’s hunt for additional firepower in the forward department will head into the final week of the transfer window.The Perth manager has previously stated that he would welcome the addition of another striker to bolster scoring options.Theo Bair and Stevie May have been tasked with leading the line so far this season, while Chris Kane continues to recover from a knee issue.“We all aim really high and want to get the best striker in that we can,” said Davidson, who is preparing his side for the visit of Aberdeen on Saturday.“Good strikers are hard to come by and you do need to be patient, see who comes available and try to be in the right place at the right time.“I need to make sure anybody who comes in makes the team better.“This is the time when everybody is evaluating their squad after pre-season and a few games.“You have to keep talking to people to make sure when things change you can do something.“I am quite happy with the squad just now and it’s about adding that extra bit of quality if we can.”Saints sit ninth in the early Premiership standings with three points from their opening three matches.The Dons, under manager Jim Goodwin and with a much-changed line-up, sit on the same total.They arrive in the Fair City off the back of a 3-2 home defeat against Motherwell, while Saints look to bounce back from going down 4-0 at Ibrox.“I’ve watched Aberdeen a few times,” Davidson said. “They’re a really attacking team.“They try to get their full-backs really high and their wingers inside.“We need to defend properly but, on the flip side, we’re at home and we have to apply pressure on them in the final third.“Aberdeen are a good team and they’ve spent money.“I would expect them to challenge
