'Squid Game' Season 2 Premiere Date Revealed Alongside Details of Show's Future

We just got some very exciting news about the future of Squid Game. Debuting amid the pandemic in 2021, the first season of the Netflix show was a certified hit that rapidly became a fan favorite.

It was renewed for a second season in December 2023. All these months later, Netflix announced the long-awaited release date and teased what fans should expect.

Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk, who worked as the show’s executive producer, writer and director, also shared details about the future. Keep reading to find out more… Season 2 of Squid Game will premiere on December 26, 2024.

In a letter written to fans, Hwang confirmed that the show would be back for a third and final season in 2025.
