Neil Young‘s music will no longer be available for streaming on Spotify. Earlier this week, the 76-year-old musician threatened to pull his music from the streaming service, saying that they need to chose between keep him or Joe Rogan, who has been spreading misinformation about COVID-19 and the vaccine on his podcast.
In a second statement shared on Wednesday (January 26), Neil called Spotify “the home of life threatening Covid misinformation,” adding, “Lies being sold for money.

With that comes great responsibility in balancing both safety for listeners and freedom for creators. We have detailed content policies in place and we’ve removed over 20,000 podcast episodes related to Covid since the start of the pandemic,” Spotify said in their statement, via The New York Times.
