England's women's football team made history on Sunday night with a 2-1 win over Germany in the Euro 2022 final. The Lionesses not only won the first ever major women's championship but it was also the country’s first international success since the men’s team won the World Cup back in 1966.
During extra time with 10 minutes to go, Manchester City's Chloe Kelly's scored the winning goal in front of a record-breaking crowd of ore than 87,000 at Wembley Stadium.
The Manchester City forward raced away in celebration, taking her shirt off, before the entire team enjoyed their historic moment once the full-time whistle went.
Since their record-breaking win, fans, sporting stars and celebrities from all across the country have flooded the Lionesses with support after what was an emotional win for England.
