horror collision has been jailed for three years. Stephen Jones was at the wheel of a E.M. Horsburgh single decker when it veered into the path of a Vauxhall Corsa owned by Ian and Helen McKay on January 8, 2019.
Both vehicles ended up in a farmer’s field next to the B792 near Torphichen, West Lothian, and the two pensioners, aged 78 and 79, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger onboard, Agnes Marshall, was seriously injured during the crash while other bus users were also hurt.Jones, of Whitburn, pleaded guilty to causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving after repeatedly driving on the opposing carriageway at excessive speed.
