Speedboat killer Jack Shepherd has been released from jail just three years into his sentence for killing his Tinder date. The 36-year-old was given a six-year sentence over the death of Charlotte Brown.
But the 36-year-old was allowed back in the community despite pleas from her heartbroken father to block his release. It's understood he was whisked away from prison yesterday.Sources say he left the 1,150-capacity privately-run Category B jail he was in - HMP Dovegate, in Staffordshire - in the back seat of a silver estate car just after 5pm.The "evil" killer said Charlotte was partly to blame for her death.
He had taken the 24-year-old on a champagne-fuelled trip after their first date but his vessel capsized on the Thames in 2015.
Shepherd fled to Georgia before his trial, spending 10 months on the run, but was found guilty of manslaughter by gross negligence and jailed for six years, The Mirror reports.
