The last day of term brought to an end four special months at Kirkbean Primary. The school has closed after parents made the decision to mothball it due to the projected school roll being low.
The first priority was to ensure that the pupils were supported emotionally through open and honest conversation. Then, robust transition experiences were arranged at their new schools.
The children were also included in the planning of lots of trips and treats from Blair Drummond Safari Park to Bainloch Deer Park to a barbecue on Powillimount beach.
Headteacher Helen Anderson asked Kirkbean Heritage Society for advice on what should happen to some of the historic items in the school, with the dux boards and famous bell to go on display in the village hall.
