The Spartacus franchise is expanding and a first look at the latest series is here! Starz debuted a short sneak peek at the upcoming Spartacus: House of Ashur on Wednesday (January 15), along with announcing the time frame it will premiere. Keep reading to find out more… Here’s a synopsis: Spartacus: House of Ashur will be a history-bending, erotic, thrilling, roller-coaster experience that builds on everything that made the original series a colossal hit.

The series poses the question: what if Ashur, hadn’t died on Mount Vesuvius at the end of Spartacus: Vengeance? And what if he had been gifted the gladiator school once owned by Batiatus in return for aiding the Romans in killing Spartacus and putting an end to the slave rebellion?

Fan-favorite Nick Tarabay will reprise his role of Ashur. Outlander‘s Graham McTavish joins as Korris, Ashur’s Doctore and Tenika Davis is the franchise’s first female gladiator, Achillia! Jamaica Vaughan, Ivana Baquero, Jordi Webber, Claudia Black, India Shaw-Smith and Leigh Gill are all set to be part of the cast as well.
