Spain could see temperatures hit a sweltering 41°c this weekend just as thousands of Brits think about returning to the holiday hotspot.
As the UK's lockdown begins to ease and the talk of air bridges to countries with similar coronavirus rise, the mercury in Spain has started to rocket skyward.
Madrid, Palma and other parts of Spain are already hitting highs in the mid-30s but they could top more than 40 by Sunday. A map by WXCharts show various Spanish spots hitting the low 40s, with the rest of the country a vast swathe of bright red.
