Two children were killed, with nine others left injured after a 'ferocious' stabbing in Southport on Monday morning (July 29).
A man, armed with a knife, walked into a Taylor Swift-themed dance party at a property on Hart Street shortly before 11.50am, police have said.
It is then that people inside were attacked and left with stab injuries. A major incident was declared, in which the lives of two children 'were cut short' after they died of their injuries. A teenage boy, aged 17, from the village of Banks, was later arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and remains in custody for questioning by detectives.
