Sophie Ellis-Bextor will attempt to do her Kitchen Disco for 24 hours to raise money for Children in Need. The Murder on the Dancefloor singer created her Kitchen Disco video series, in which she sings and dances under a glitter ball in her kitchen at home, often surrounded by her children, to lift people's spirits during the lockdown of 2020, and it became a huge sensation, with her even hosting Kitchen Disco mixes on Radio 2 and BBC Sounds.
And now, she has agreed to do it for a full 24 hours as part of Radio 2's BBC Children in Need Challenge. "I love to dance, I love to Kitchen Disco, but can I keep going for a whole 24 hours?" she said in a statement on Monday. "I'm sure I can for BBC Children In Need. . .
