Sophie Ellis-Bextor is bringing her dancing shoes stateside at last! The “Murder on the Dancefloor” superstar, who shot to the top of the charts globally over the past few months after the 2001 hit was featured in 2023′s Saltburn, hit the stage for a sold-out show at Webster Hall on Thursday (June 6) in New York City as part of her first-ever headlining North American tour.

After making stops in cities including San Francisco, San Diego, Washington D.C., Boston and Philadelphia, Sophie took her show to the Big Apple, where she performed over a dozen of her big hits and fan favorites to an incredibly hyped crowd, including “Get Over You,” “Heartbreak Make Me a Dancer,” “Not Giving Up on Love” and “Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love).” Keep reading to see pictures from the night, and for the full set list… Sophie also brought out a spinner wheel and chose a song at random to perform for the audience (“Reflections” from Hana), as well as covering a bunch of classics, like ABBA‘s “Dancing Queen” and Madonna‘s “Like a Prayer.” She even performed “New York City Lights,” a deep cut from 2007′s Trip the Light Fantastic, in honor of the city! “It would have been completely understandable if it was a room full of people waiting to hear one song,” she explained to the crowd before launching into “Murder on the Dancefloor.” “But what I can see is that there are some of you out there who have been supporting me from afar…” she continued as the crowd, full of fans waiting for years to see her perform live, burst aloud with supportive cheers.
