EXCLUSIVE: Nina Lederman, Sony Pictures Television’s (SPT) global scripted boss, is exiting amid the slowdown.
Veteran TV exec Lederman is leaving in June after six years heading up global scripted development and programing for SPT, with the group understood to be pivoting focus to the core businesses of local international production.
Based in LA, Lederman joined SPT in 2018 to head the global scripted team, working closely with indies in the UK and Australia such as The Crown producer Left Bank, His Dark Materials maker Bad Wolf and Reckoning indie Playmaker Media.
As EVP, Global Scripted Development, she worked on development, U.S. pre-sales and international co-productions, with credits including Netflix hit My Life with the Walter Boys and MGM+’s Nine Bodies In A Mexican Morgue.
