Sony Pictures Television has brought on Kate Gill as SVP, Comedy Development. In her new role, she will focus on developing new comedy series for all platforms for the U.S.
scripted division. Reporting to Colin Davis, EVP, Comedy Development, Gill will be based in SPT’s Culver City, CA headquarters and starts her new role on May 13. “Kate has established a well-deserved reputation as a true tastemaker and a talent-friendly executive.
Her strong relationships, varied experiences, and passionate outlook will be an essential asset to the team as we dive into this new era of comedy television,” said Davis.
Most recently, Gill was SVP of development for Paramount Television Studios, where she oversaw the Paramount+ musical series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies and shepherded the critically acclaimed limited series Station Eleven and half hour comedy Made For Love for HBO Max.
