EXCLUSIVE: Sony is developing Jennifer L. Armentrout‘s series of books including the New York Times bestseller From Blood and Ash for television.

The project will be developed as an ongoing series that includes five Blood And Ash books: From Blood and Ash, A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, The Crown of Gilded Bones, The War of Two Queens, and A Soul of Ash and Blood, sources close to production tell Deadline.

The book series follows Poppy, whose life has never been her own since being chosen at birth to usher in a new era. Waiting for the day of her Ascension, she would rather be with the guards, fighting back the evil that took her family, than preparing to be found worthy by the gods.
