If you’ve ever watched a movie where a character is brought back to life with a shot of adrenaline, or rails an impossibly long line of cocaine, or takes a stupidly big hit of crystal meth, and then pace-runs around whatever dingy little room they’re in at time-lapse speed — or, perhaps, if you’ve ever inadvisably tried one of these things at home — you have an approximate idea of what it’s like to listen to a LustSickPuppy song.
In general, LSP achieves this critical mass of chaos through a combination of hellacious beats and cracked, unhinged vocals, rapped with the intensity of someone who has nothing to lose and everything to gain.
On “FEEDING FRENZY,” however, they let their instrumental track do the talking for them (save for a sweetly spoken DJ tag at the start of the song).
They launch into the heart of the music immediately, the trademark of an artist accustomed to making sub-two-minute singles.
