EXCLUSIVE: Cameras are rolling on Son of a Critch season 4. The Canadian comedy was renewed earlier this year for a new 13-part run at public broadcaster CBC and principal photography is now underway in St.
John’s, Newfoundland. Based on comedian Mark Critch‘s memoir of the same name, the fourth season will follow a 14-year-old Mark, who begins high school on the cusp of the 1990s and once again finds himself on the bottom rung.
The new season will premiere in winter this year on streamer CBC Gem and CBC TV in Canada. Lionsgate Television has rights outside of Canada, and The CW had the previous three seasons in the States.
It was officially renewed in May. “We’re thrilled to roll into the 90s with Mark as he finds his way in high school and are looking forward to sharing this exciting new season with audiences,” said creators, showrunners and executive producers Critch and Tim McAuliffe in a statement.
