Acclaimed soap actress Esta TerBlanche has been found dead at the age of 51 - weeks after teasing a return to TV.The star's death, which is now under investigation, comes after she announced that a return to the small screen was "definitely something I would like to get back into".

Her family said Esta - who appeared in long-running hit All My Children - died unexpectedly in her Hollywood home, according to TMZ.

She played Gillian Andrassy in the drama, which was so popular that at one time it was the most widely recorded television show in the US.

Medical personnel are reported to believe that she had been dead since the day before her body was found. Her death was confirmed by her manager Annie Spoliansky yesterday in a statement to People.
