Disney is scaling back the Snow White premiere. The studio did not invite the typical media outlets to interview the cast and creatives behind the film.
Instead, the premiere, which takes place on March 15, will only include a pre-party, a screening, photographers, and a house crew. Rachel Zegler, who plays Snow White, and Gal Gadot, who plays the evil queen, are expected to attend the event, per Variety. When it was announced in 2021 that Rachel would be playing the titular role, she faced hateful comments surrounding her Colombian heritage.
She also faced controversy when she publicly criticized the original 1937 Disney film version, calling the prince a “stalker.” Snow White is set to hit theaters on Friday, March 21, 2025.
