Scotland is set to be hit with snow tomorrow as drivers are being urged to brace for "difficult" conditions. The Met Office has issued a snow and ice warning for Thursday, February 9, as wintry showers are set to hit the north and west of Scotland from tomorrow afternoon, lasting overnight.
These conditions will result in icy patches on roads and pathways, so both motorists and pedestrians should take caution to avoid accidents and slips.
The latest alert comes after forecasters warned of 75mph winds blasting parts of Scotland on Wednesday, causing potentially "dangerous" conditions.
Southwesterly gales will strengthen throughout the day, lasting until this evening. Elsewhere today, central and southern areas will experience patches of dense fog and frost, before clearing into sunny spells.
