Snoop Dogg has responded to a new Kendrick Lamar lyric about his support of Drake during the two rappers’ public feud this summer.Lamar surprise-released his new album ‘GNX’ yesterday, by posting a link on his social media pages at 5pm UK time on Friday (November 22), with the 12-track, 44-minute release now on all major music streaming platforms.Fans quickly picked up on a reference to Snoop Dogg on the song ‘wacced out murals’, where Lamar raps: “Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles/I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”The lyric references Drake’s ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ – a diss track against Lamar that used AI technology to rap verses using both Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur’s voices.
Drake eventually removed the song from his social media and other streaming platforms after Tupac’s estate threatened to sue him. Before it was removed, though, Snoop reacted to the track on Instagram, saying in a video: “They did what?
When? How? Are you sure? [Sigh] Y’all have a good night,” he said in a quick video. “Why everybody calling my phone, blowing me up?
What the fuck— what happened? What’s going on? I’m going back to bed. Good night.”Now, Snoop has reacted to Lamar’s mention of him on ‘wacced out murals’, taking to Twitter/X to say: “K dot new album GNX,” followed by a series of fire emojis.
