SNL star Chris Redd's attacker was wearing brass knuckles when he punched the comedian in the face in New York City on Wednesday, reports TMZ.Sources close to the star told the publication that Chris was left with two black eyes and a large gash on his nose which required stitches after the attack, with two men allegedly involved in the assault.Redd was rushed to the hospital, but he was reported to be in good condition and released shortly afterwards.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Chris Redd for comment. Chris was s getting out of a car in front of the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village when a man dressed in a security guard uniform ran up to him and allegedly assaulted him, TMZ reports.

The funnyman was wearing a Greg Yuna chain, which came apart when the suspect allegedly grabbed it as he ran away from the bloody crime scene.He was also able to recover his necklace from the scene.
