‘SNL’ Scribe Rosebud Baker Sets Second Comedy Special ‘The Mother Lode’ With Netflix

EXCLUSIVE: The Mother Lode, the second comedy special from SNL writer, actress and stand-up Rosebud Baker, is set to premiere globally on Netflix on February 11.

Taped months apart during two sold-out nights at the Comedy Cellar in New York City, the special intercuts between Baker before and after giving birth.

With the juxtaposition of these experiences, she unpacks navigating the unknown in the evolving journey of parenthood, delving into the decision to have kids, the indignities of childbirth, the pros and cons of losing your identity in motherhood, generational divides of upbringings, along with coming to the difficult decision to retire from giving blow jobs, and more.

The Mother Lode marks the directorial debut of Baker, who performs her own material and also served as producer, with Alex Goodman and Jason Katz executive producing.
