Tonight on Saturday Night Live, Bowen Yang and Ego Nwodim hosted the CIBO Express Christmas Week Airport Parade, live from Terminal C at Newark Liberty International Airport. “It’s chaos, it’s mayhem, and everyone’s afraid,” sing their TSA agent characters in the sketch. “It’s the Christmas Week Airport Parade!” “Good evening from Newark,” says Nwodim, “which is how you say ‘New York’ if you’re on pills, which I am.” Nwodim introduces herself as Agent Chartreuse Hamilton; Bowen, as Umberto. “Umberto, what kind of name is that?” asks Chartreuse. “Well, my parents were unsure about naming me Berto,” Yang responds, “so they told the nurse, ‘Um, Berto?'” “Love,” Chartreuse replies. “Umberto, who can we expect to see on the parade route this year?” Umberto says there will be “some new appearances,” as well as the return of “some old classics,” with Chartreuse then going on to introduce “a nervous flyer whose edible kicked in too early.” “Uh, a thousand milligrams is low, right?” asks a nervous Andrew Dismukes. “Because that’s just one gram, right?” “Wrong,” deadpans Umberto, “but I’ll have what he’s having.” Chartreuse shares that she already did, with Umberto admitting, “Girl, I hate that you’re my ride home,” before introducing “a woman who’s saving her stinky meal for the flight,” played by Sarah Sherman.
