Tula, an 11-year-old Siberian cat, had devised the ultimate two-timing system. As well as being fed at home, she would head down to the Toby Carvery in Swindon and pick up her favourite roast dinner from staff and customers who had become fond of their new favourite local.
It was perfect; her owner didn't know about Toby Carvery and Toby Carvery didn't know about her owner. But one day, Tula arrived home and Nicole Clark spotted her pet had a paper collar wrapped around her neck.
Unravelling the note, it read: "Does this cat have a home?" and on the reverse side: "Always at Toby Carvery." And just like that, the game was up.
