Sleater-Kinney have shared an emotional new track called ‘This Time’. Check it out below.Shared today (October 4), the track is the latest to be taken from ‘Little Rope Deluxe’ – an expanded version of their 11th studio album, which they first released back in January.Set for release on November 1 via Loma Vista, the extended version of the record includes the previously released, stripped-back ‘Frayed Rope Sessions’, as well as special live versions of the tracklist captured at The Forum in Melbourne. It also contains three brand new songs that the duo recorded during the original ‘Little Rope’ album sessions. ‘This Time’ follows on from the first new track to be shared: ‘Here Today’.As for the new song, ‘This Time’ begins with a steady drumbeat, as the pensive lyrics grow in momentum. “If you keep answering then I’ll keep callin’/ Won’t you let it ring, render me forgotten/ I’m right, this time I know I’m right/ I’ve got to be,” they sing in the opening verse.Check it out below.“‘This Time’ was the last song we wrote for the record and the last to get cut once we decided we preferred the evenness and succinctness of ten songs,” the band explained in a new statement.“About a person reaching the limits of denial, ‘This Time’ exists on the thematic edges of Little Rope, an album wrestling with loss and its aftermath.”The final of the three new songs on the extended version of ‘Little Rope’ is called ‘Nothing To Lose’.

At the time of writing, no further details have been shared about if the song will be shared ahead of the album release date. You can pre-order/pre-save the record here, and find the full tracklist below.Disc 1:1. ‘Hell’ 2. ‘Needlessly Wild’3. ‘Say It Like You Mean It’4. ‘Hunt You Down’5. ‘Small Finds’6..
