Slattery's forced to deny rumours that beloved chocolate shop is closing for good

Slattery's cafe and chocolate shop in Whitefield posted on its Facebook page to confirm that it is indeed still open for business, and is working to reopen its indoor dining space later this month.

Staff at the chocolatier said they've been receiving phone calls from members of the public asking whether they would be closing down.

They say they don't know where or how the rumours started, but that they are 'proud to have survived a very difficult time'.
