Sky and Virgin Media customers get new channel - but many insist they really don't want it

Xmas and is available to Sky, Virgin Media and Freeview customers through to January 8, 2025. It runs back-to-back Christmas movies and didn't hit screens last year until September 7.
However, this year, it launched this morning at precisely 8am (Thursday, September 5) for users who want a slice of the festive season.
However, divided viewers have already taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to issue their opinions on the channel arriving in their living rooms even earlier this year.
