Model Tess Holliday has bravely spoken out about her battle with an eating disorder to highlight that it’s not ‘only very underweight people who can have anorexia.’ Tess has a huge following in the US and has graced the pages of Vogue.
She also became the first size 22 model, after signing to Milk Model Management in 2015, but has secretly struggled with the illness for years.
The 35-year-old broke her silence on Twitter recently, telling her followers: ‘I’m anorexic and in recovery. I’m not ashamed to say it out loud anymore.’ I’m the result of a culture that celebrates thinness and equates that to worth, but I get to write my own narrative now.
