Six women arrested following one-year-old's death at nursery
dailyrecord.co.ukSix women have been arrested following a one-year-old boy's death at a nursery. Police have confirmed that they are treating the toddler's death as 'suspicious', reports the Mirror.
The youngster died last month in the West Midlands whilst attending a nursery in Dudley. Following the young boy's passing on December 9 2022, a criminal investigation was launched by officials.The nursery has also been closed by the UK Government's Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills, along with other linked premises.
As part of the investigation by the police, three women – aged 20, 23 and 50 – were arrested on December 16.The trio were arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter and were subsequently released on bail with strict conditions.
As enquiries continue a further three women, aged 51, 53 and 37, were arrested yesterday.Out of the trio of women, two were arrested on suspicion of corporate manslaughter.
