Opening day at the Six Flags Over Georgia theme park descended into absolute chaos Saturday, as mobs of unruly teens fought and later shot at police called in to quell the disturbance.
A 15-year-old youth was shot when police exchanged gunfire with what they described as an “unruly crowd” of up to 600 people near the amusement park in suburban Atlanta.
Social media footage obtained by Fox 5 Atlanta captured nearly a dozen people kicking and punching a person on the ground before several ran away, leaving the beaten-up individual lying motionless.
The shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. Saturday on a service road just off the 290-acre theme park’s property, according to the Cobb County Police Department.
