Six men were arrested and £30,000 in cash was seized as police smashed their way into homes in Rochdale this morning. Officers carried out eight raids earlier today (Wednesday) as part of a Greater Manchester Police crackdown on child criminal exploitation in the town.
The six men - aged between 18 and 26 - were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs and modern slavery offences.
All were taken into custody. Officers also seized £30,000 in cash as part of the organised crime probe, as well as cannabis and drugs paraphernalia. They found a teenage boy was being 'exploited and coerced into drug dealing by a suspected local gang'. They then identified further victims, including a 'vulnerable' adult who was being cuckooed.
