Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Sir Tom Jones is leading the charge to save the music festival season – saying it will be "magnificent" to be back on stage again.

The 80-year-old legend joins Liam Gallagher, Snow Patrol, and Duran Duran in playing the Isle of Wight Festival this September.

The star - who earlier this year said he felt "bulletproof" after getting vaccinated - told the Mirror: "I was thrilled to get the invitation to perform at the Isle of Wight Festival. "It’s got a great history and I’m proud to be part of the lineup this year.

We are all looking forward to a magnificent time together, I can’t wait to be there with you all. " Festival boss John Giddings announced the new line-up today after previously moving the festival from June.
