Sir Ian McKellen, 81, has said he feels “euphoric” after being vaccinated against coronavirus in the first round of jabs. The actor was snapped having his first dose of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday.

The pensioner, who falls into the very first eligible groups for the Covid-19 vaccine, joined the thousands of over 80s, NHS staff and care home staff being injected.
