Sir Billy Connolly has spoken about how he coped with the early days of his Parkinson's diagnosis after being told he had the disease in 2013.

After the 79-year-old was diagnosed with Parkinson's, he went onto retire from live performances. The legendary performer, who is known worldwide for his comedy, opened up to his wife Dr Pamela Stephenson Connolly for a TV documentary about his life.

Billy said: "The challenges lately have been medical. They are getting worse.“I will have to weigh it up and see how bad it gets.
