Sinitta has opened up on her romance with Simon Cowell (again), saying she didn’t believe it was truly over until he had a son, Eric, with Lauren Silverman.

The pair dated on and off for 20 years after meeting in the 80s, but unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be with Simon, 60, now pretty settled with girlfriend Lauren, 42.

The singer, who has been friends with Simon ever since the demise of their on-again/off-again relationship, insisted she’d never come between Simon’s family after six-year-old Eric was born.

When she was asked when she and Simon ‘finally called it quits’ Sinitta told New Magazine: ‘There was always an element of “well, it’s never really over.” ‘But when Eric was born that was it.
