Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

Simon Cowell has recorded his first video since the horror accident that nearly left him paralysed. He broke his back in three places and needed emergency surgery after falling off electrical bike in Malibu back earlier this year.

The music mogul, 61, has kept a low profile since his accident, only appearing in the background of friends' social media posts.

But he's now recorded a clip to encourage his fans to support a charity close to his heart. He urged them to donate to the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, saying they could be in with a chance with meeting him at the Britain's Got Talent finals next year if they made a donation.
