Simon Cowell gave a thumb-up to passers-by as he finished his 10K charity walk earlier today. As The Mirror revealed in an exclusive in April, Simon was celebrating his “110 per cent” recovery from a broken back by doing his first ever charity walk after breaking his back last year.

In 2020, the music mogul was riding an electric bike around Los Angeles, when he fell off and off his bike, and nearly severed his spinal cord.

His injuries were so severe that he needed six hours of surgery to repair him and spent month recovering. Within days of announcing that he would donate all of his sponsorship funds for Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, he had already raised nearly £30,000.
