Simon Cowell is considering splashing the cash on a Barbados pad, according to reports. Music mogul Simon, 60, is said to have fallen in love with the Caribbean island over the years, having spent many holidays on its sandy beaches and in its crystal clear waters.

Now it's thought he's considering a home there. An insider told The Sun on Sunday that if he were to buy a new pad, he would ideally want good views of the beach and lots of space to host guests.

The source added: "He knows a lot of the locals now so feels right at home and relaxed when he's on the island." Mirror Online has contacted Simon's rep for comment.
