Simon Cowell has opened up about the inspiring singer he encountered on America's Got Talent who was wrongfully imprisoned for nearly 37 years.
The 60-year-old talent show judge was deeply moved by the story of Archie Williams, who had come to audition in front of the judges.
Simon has since thrown his weight behind the group that helped free Archie, and become an Innocence Project Ambassador. Dressed in a smart grey suit, the singer said that DNA evidence had finally cleared his name and he was released from one of America's 'bloodiest' prisons.
