Simon Cowell appeared to have developed a rebellious streak during Saturday’s round of Britain’s Got Talent auditions, when he broke protocol to hit the golden buzzer for a second time this series.
As regular viewers will know, the judges are only permitted to press the golden buzzer once every series, to place their favourite act directly into the live semi finals - with Simon having already used his buzzer to pick 13 year old Treble singer, Malakai Bayoh.
However in a clear deviation from the usual rules, Simon pressed his golden buzzer again on Saturday after having fallen head over heels for Unity’s performance.
The Irish dance troupe were all comprised of students from the same college and wanted to perform a piece that showed that all students had a place, no matter their race, gender, background or disability.
