Peter Urminsky didn’t mind getting pelters from the Rangers support when making his long-awaited league debut. That’s because the Slovakian stopper couldn’t understand the stick he was getting from the fans behind his goal.
The towering keeper was handed his first Premiership start against some seriously tough opposition on Saturday. While the 24-year-old admits he’d rather not have shipped three goals in a 3-0 defeat, he nevertheless loved his first taste of league action after joining St Mirren back in January 2020.
He particularly enjoyed playing in front of the raucous Rangers away end – with the abuse he was getting flying right over his head.
Speaking exclusively to Renfrewshire Live Sport, Urminsky said: “It was a very exciting debut. It was hard to take three goals, obviously I know it was going to be tough against Rangers.
